For more than four decades The Cheese Shop has offered hundreds of cheeses, wines and specialty foods. We've also become one of Williamsburg's most popular destinations for a casual lunch or dinner. Located in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg's Merchants Square. We invite you to enjoy sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie plates, wine by the glass on our patio on Duke of Gloucester or under our heated and covered side patio. Located below The Cheese Shop is our Wine Cellar with a selection of over 4,000 bottles. Adjacent to The Cheese Shop is our fine dining restaurant: Fat Canary, awarded AAA Four Diamonds every year since opening in 2003. The Cheese Shop, Wine Cellar and Fat Canary are owned and operated by the Power family since 1971.
