The Blue Talon Bistro has brought on a nationally recognized race management company, J&A Racing, to partner with us for the Blue Talon Bistro Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2016. With an 8:30AM start, this festive event includes a course that winds through acres of history and beauty in Colonial Williamsburg and through the world-class campus of the second oldest college in the nation, the College of William & Mary.
This nine year old tradition – which hosts over 2500 participants – will provide an excellent opportunity for families to come out and kick off their Thanksgiving Day with fun, fitness and festivity while also supporting Literacy for Life, a charity that provides literacy services to help community members function more effectively.
When you finish the race, you turn the corner and immediately are faced by what has to be best post-5K-buffet anywhere! Fresh baked croissants, illy coffee, adult beverages, fresh fruit & more. Don’t miss the pre & post race raffle, where we give away more than 100 prizes that will all make your Thanksgiving Dinner an even bigger hit! Bottles of wine, flower arrangements, hams, wine glasses, gift certificates, you name it – you can win it! Proceeds from the raffle also benefit Literacy for Life.
