Description
Slover Library is located in beautiful downtown Norfolk on the corner of Plume and Atlantic Street near MacArthur Square and the MacArthur Memorial.
The library is easily reached via I-264
-Exit City Hall Avenue and head west three blocks and turn left on Bank Street and right on Plume Street
-Continue to Waterside Drive and turn right at Atlantic Street and proceed two blocks
Parking:
Parking is available at MacArthur Center, city parking garages, or on-street metered parking. You can also take light rail to the MacArthur Station stop and the library is located across the street. For additional parking details, click here.
Parking for Patrons Who are Disabled:
Patrons who are disabled and have valid handicap license plates and or hanging tags may park for free at any on-street metered space for the posted time (two hours at most downtown meters, except Waterside, which is 15 minutes).
There are four (4) labeled accessible parking spots in the front of Cuisine Cafe at Slover, and seventeen (17) in the Main Street Garage directly behind Slover off Atlantic Street, mostly on the third floor, and all near garage elevators. Additionally, patrons who are disabled that park in the garage can call our Main Number (757-664-7323) during operating hours and press zero to speak with our Front Desk to gain building access closer to the garage at the side staff/delivery entrance.
