Description
Created by philanthropist Archer Huntington in 1930, the beautiful park surrounding the Mariners' Museum covers about 550 wooded acres. Along with the museum and the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, the park contains the picturesque Lake Maury and an impressive bridge and dam marked by four stone lions sculpted by Huntington's wife Anna, a well-known artist. Ideal for a leisurely stroll, the 5.5 mile Noland Trail skirts the shores of the lake, providing numerous stops along the way from which to admire the view.
